Do not waste your money. Horrible machine work. Slot is machined on a diagonal. Does not center below Hornady comparator. Didn't realize this was a crap chinesium knock off when I ordered. Bought a real one locally that actually works.

QC isn't here. The slot was not parallel to the face by any stretch of the imagination. Visibly off kilter. And the screw hole had a giant burr sticking out all around and was not drilled perpendicular to the slot. I had to basically remanufacture the thing by filing off the burr and recutting the channel with a file. I guess a a star for actually receiving after a month wait, and another for providing all the materials I needed? Just buy the brand name on this one and don't waste your time.

I was checking my brass just using my calipers and the comparator, rolling the brass till I got a good reading......WAS. NOW I have this little base and man what a gamechanger for measuring. Highly recommended if you want accurate and FAST measurements. Be sure to install it on the calipers and close the calipers tight before tightening the thumb screw. How something so small can be so huge....

Looks like they have moved to pre schools workers for the CNC work nothing had a right angle set screws were just drilled and tapped in w/no care set screws angle in at 98 degrees or 78 degrees to the caliper blade slot. Do yourself a favor and just buy the Hornady 1's these are 1/2 price because they are junk and have no business being sold as a precise measurement tool. I mean you guys even drilled it from both sides creating more work. Does your machinist even know how to set up a mill ?

(See ratings explanation below the review)I use this with a another brand which is held in place only by a magnet. (Which allows me to switch from measuring case length, shoulder, overall length, etc.) Using this as an anvil, it really helps make things sturdier which provides more precision. It has sped up my case preparation significantly. Hint: The slot is centered but has a long side so put that on the blade of your caliper and snug the set screw to the other side of the blade. That will give this anvil more contact on the caliper. I was pleasantly surprised by this product.My ratings system:5 stars...... I'm blown away by quality & value... a must buy!
