I was reluctant to purchase this antenna at first, because mentally i thought I was going back in time, being a cable iser of over 30 years. The cable service price overtime get highere and higher, to a point where it was downright ridiculous. I was forced to find an alternative. I considered, streaming, satellite, fiber to name a few. All were not worth the price. Finally i say to myself go back to basic!. And so far i am impressed and excited to share my experience with anyone who wants to stop throwing money into thin air.I bought this unit and installed it where the point of entry of the cable system was, and behold i am now getting many OTA stations in all rooms that the cable was feeding . It is installed outside of the house and i attachedd a signal amplifuer at each television for additional strength .Best decision ever and no special equipment or

Worked ok, but wasnโt any better than cheaper items of the same kind.

This antenna doesn't work any better than a small flat $30 antenna from Walmart. It is Junk. They definitely took me for my money!! It's a lie on the range also, maybe 250 range, but only if pointed directly to the direction of towers. And picture still breaks up here and there.

3000+ mile range? Hum, that's more than 1/8 the way around the world or from NY to LA. How many LA stations can you pick up from NY.Sounds like a bunch of BS, considering professional mask mounded outdoor antennas only reliably pick up to about 70 miles away.

When an antenna claims the range that this one does, 3200 miles and costs well over $100 you would think that it could pull in a couple of weak signal channels who's transmitting towers are less than 20 miles away! Not so with this large one. It is no better than the $30 one I tried to replace it with. I realize that there is a lot of cell phone interference these days but I have a filter installed in line for that. I am now on my third try with antennas purchased on Amazon.com and I guessI will give up. It just galls me that they can get away with such outrageous claims as to range when that has to be completely hogwash. I live in a suburb of Kansas City and the terrain is relatively flat with no obvious obstructions that I can discern and I even live i a second story apartment so I am well above ground level. I don't expect to get much mileage out of this review either with over a hundred 5 star reviews against mine but Ido my part to warn anyone that has situations like me that they might be wasting their money on products I find to be junk, and I believe this thing is just that. I intend to find another option and when I do I will tear this big plastic thing apart to see what is inside. If it turns out to be a small antenna aerial in a large plastic package I will be back with a vengeance to further report on this. I have the feeling that the 5 star reviews are from people who live real close to transmission towers but if not, I certainly would like to know what the Hell the deal is, wit my problem reception on the two channels I want the most.
