This is an excellent PCIe card that adds 4 USB 3.1 gen2/USB 3.2 gen 2 ports to your PC or Mac. The ASM3142 XHCI controller is natively supported in macOS. What sets this card apart from many other offerings, is its use of dual ASM3142 controllers, which ensures that multiple USB SSDs can actually get the bandwidth needed. Lastly, the ability to attach SATA power to this card makes USB power problems far less common. If you use multiple bandwidth hungry USB devices concurrently, this card is a great option.

I first purchased the Ableconn usb 3.2 card hoping to improve my usb 3.0 transfer rates, but alas, my 7 year old desktop could not benefit and only hovered around 100mb/sec. I have since purchased a new desktop and installed this card and am now receiving 400-500 mb/sec. (speeds available on all 4 inputs, not shared)So, I now have 4 new usb 3.2 inputs on the back side of the case and can save the front connections for temporary uses.

I purchased this as the z490 motherboard did not come with USB type C. No drivers required. Win 10 easily added hardware and runs like a turbo charged Chevy. Love the speed. Awesome. 10gb/

This controller worked surprisingly well. Was able to connect the USB device and worked correctly. A bit expensive, but worth it so far.

So the card works great and it offers the most number of USB-C and USB-A ports for a card of it's type. But the price is more then what it would cost me to get 2 separate cards with equal or more ports. If you have limited space in your case - this will work well. Just wish the price would be lower. It is very plug and play friendly.

It works great, with fast transfer speeds. If you experience slow transfer speeds, check the cable you're using and make sure it's rated for 10Mb/s transfer or higher.

I wanted to upgrade my Mac Pro 5,1 for USB-C and USB 3.1 so I could use the same accessories as my 2019 MacBook Pro. While some adapters have the right connectors, they don't deliver on speed. This one does -- 10 mb/s. With two separate channels, it can deliver the full speed on multiple ports simultaneously. The chipset is supported by the MacOS making it plug-and-play. It has both USB C and USB 3.1 A ports for real flexibility. There's a SATA power port on board in case your USB peripherals need more power than the board can deliver. The board cost more than the alternatives, but delivers so much more.
