Pump does work, I looked closely at the wires and saw lumps on one black line one the new pump and not the other. That was the same as the black line that was on the old pump. What I didn't like is that now I need to get a different pickup tubing from the tank to the pump. If that all lined up, it would have been 5 starts. The pump does work.. Ohh one more thing, There is no connection on the pump for the yellow line with the green tracer, most likely the ground. I will just clamp it on to the base of the pump.

Fixed broken fog machine pump, working like new. Just be advised that this replacement pump requires the polarity to be correct. If it does not work then reverse the wires. because of the power polarity issue, if you plug it in to an outlet that is reverse wired (don't ask how I know this!) the fog machine will heat up but will not pump fluid. By the time you figure it out your fog machine will have overheated (tripping the thermal fuse) and require a significant cooling before it will restart. Try a different outlet and contact a licensed electrician to fix your outlet. I fixed a 700 and 400 watt fog machine with this part. The original pumps burnt out because of very thick fog fluid. I now dilute the thick fluids.

I bought a cheap fogger at a Halloween store 20 years ago. Stopped working about 5 years ago and every year I would pull it out and try and fix it, give up, put it away till next year. But finally this year I was determined. Found this pump and decided to to try it. Works great now! Since it is AC, it does not matter which way you hook up the two wires. Mine came with 90 degree fitting that matched my old pump exactly. My old pump had a place to attach ground wire while the new one did not. I ended up just attaching ground wire with a screw through mounting bracket.

Installed easily and works great. I did need to bend the fog machine's copper pipe to match the orientation of the exit pipe on this pump (which is horizontal rather than the 90 degree bend on the original pump) , but that was also a simple task. This pump comes with two black wires so it's a 50/50 shot at getting the connection correct on the first attempt (which I didn't succeed in doing). However, a quick switching of the wires and the pump started to work beautifully. This proved to be a very inexpensive fix to avoid putting the fog machine into the trash heap and buying a new fog machine.

The seller of this pump was AUCD. The pump is a 40dcb pump for a 900W fog machine. It arrived well packed but without any instructions. The cables that you see in the picture are black and red. The one that I received has 2 black cables which makes identifying the cable a pain. The pump doesn't appear to be new.I will try it and give a review update pretty soon. For now only 2 starts for lack on instructions and weird cable mono-color selection.Update 5/17/2018:I just installed the pump. On the first attempt didn't work. Since the cables were not identified and rapidly turn it off and change the cables. The fog machine started backup and is now blowing fog again like a dragon. For $14 is not a bad deal. The repair took only a few minutes. Besides the cables that were not identified, the pump works perfectly for a 1000 watts machine like the Eliminator EF-1000w (instead of dumping it I just refurbish it and it works just perfect now/ like new)

This pump was installed in a generic 1000 watt fog machine. It replaces a lower output pump (old one was 18w, this one is 31w) and I am very happy with it, gives a nice blast of fog. I only use my fog machines on Halloween and they usually last 3-5 years before the pump goes out. I am very thankful they offer replacement pumps now (a few years ago they were very hard to find). I’m n my experience it’s always the pump that goes out. The heater is in a thermostat and rarely goes bad so being able to replace the pumps makes even the cheap fog machines last a very long time! Installation is pretty straight forward. Solder or crimp the wires and attach the in/out lines. I did have to do a little more work on mine, the copper line that runs to the heater would not fit in the pump output but I was able to quickly drill it out to the proper size in just a few minutes and it works great! If you’re handy it’s a very sinoke job.
