Yes, the connector is different and you'll need to solder in your old one. That said, the quality and parts were complete and looked good. We'll see how long the coil lasts, but my initial thoughts are a good buy at a reasonable price.

The magnet portion is not correct for the vehicle although it can likely be modified to work. If your magnet is still working, the other parts can be used but with mine the bearing was crap so think of this as a way to test the clutch but not much else.

I can tell you for 100% fact that the 06-08 Ram 1500 Hemi 5.7L uses a different female connector (single enclosure with two pins, NOT this single positive and a negative separate with a ground loop terminal) and the OEM pulley itself is a 7 groove and NOT A 6 groove like this one. Although you can splice the wires and use the old connector, Using the 6 groove pulley they sell will shread your serpentine belt in less than 10 miles, ask me how I know…

I used this on my 07 ram 1500 with a 5.7l hemi. The kit works as it should but the wire harness was different as the kit came with a single bullet type connection and another wire with a ring terminal on it to connect the ground. My original has a two position connection. So I cut my old one off and then cut the new one and joined it to my two position harness. So I gave the kit a 4star review as it is not exactly the same as they stated.

This part number should have a two wire connection but Amazons Chinese equivalent only has one, automatic fail

2005 ram 1500 5.7. Did not fit. Im a life long self mechanic, with a full shop. I didn't return, because I just made the friction plate and pulled work, because I was in a pinch. In short do not buy this kit. Also the plug connector for the magnetic clutch was different.
