After having the system professionally installed, my mechanic noticed a tapping noise from the compressor. Seller quickly replaced the defective compressor and I had it reinstalled. The AC was blowing cold and all seemed well...UNTIL... the compressor seized 300 miles from home, shredded the serpentine belt and left me and my son stranded. 24 hours and another $300 mechanic bill, we bypassed the POS compressor and were able to drive again W/O air conditioning. I would send the entire useless system back, but I'm already into this for thousands of dollars (and still have no AC) and don't want to spend even MORE money to remove it.

2002 Honda CR-V LX AWD - Awesome kit. Replaces everything you need after a "black death" failure to make sure you fix it the right way and not leave contaminated components in the system. Everything fit as it should. 18 months and counting since the install and the AC is still working excellent. Quality kit.Note: I see some people mentioning that "not everything is there". There are two factory aluminum hard pipes that you EASILY cleanout and reuse. No "black death" is hiding in there so there is no reason not to reuse them unless yours are damaged from some non AC related incident (collision damage, previous owner removed them for race car life, negligence, etc).PRO TIP: REPLACE YOUR RELAYS while you're doing this. Cooling fans and AC compressor relays (all the same relay type). You can get a box of them for like $15 on here and should just be considered preventative maintenance at this point as these vehicles hit that 20 year mark in age. :)

Has all the main components however, the hoses that connect to the condenser and lead to the expansion valve it does not have. Will need to flush my current set. The 2 hoses that came are those that attach to the compressor. Any other hoses will either need to be purchased or reused from your old set. Also note as it was not mentioned by the seller, the evaporator core is for left hand drive vehicles and does not fit right hand drive ones. Mine will not be able to use and I need to find a way to exchange at a local store.

The box was not sealed or taped good, the packaging tape was not done good, opened package and it was fine.

AC was shot in my roommates Honda CRV so I bought this so he could replace it. He is a mechanic so knows how to replace the AC unit, just needed the parts in this Texas triple digit heat this summer. Many sets on Amazon only included parts of the AC system, but he needed to replace everything so we chose this set. His AC runs so cold now we do not turn it up to high unless we want to freeze. Love this system. Would buy again, but hope we never have to.

I already had a vacuum pump, and freon. I was careful to study several youtube videos, and I've worked on AC systems and mechanical things on many of my own vehicles in the past.I did all this work on a lift. Can't imagine trying to do this without one. The most accurate videos on YT will mention loosening rear frame bolts behind engine, and removing the ones from the front. This way you can get to the compressor without removing radiator fan, radiator, etc.AC works great now, and it's been since early September when I installed it. I'm in Atlanta, so I still have plenty of chances to use the AC this fall. LOLGood luck!

Mechanic installed the whole kit except for the drier in my wife's car for $560. If you dont install that part make sure to have mechanic properly clean that part of the system. System is recharged and blowing cold ac! Good luck!
