This flush kit is a must have for replacing failed AC components. If you don't get everything properly flushed, you are just wasting your money. The proper 1/4 adapter wasn't supplied for my air system, but I have a few extra ones laying around and just used one of them. After assembling and pressurizing the flush bottle, I didn't notice any leaks. I also like that I can leave this hooked to my air system to avoid having to repressurize the bottle.
