This transformer is designed for industrial, heating, and air conditioning control, including thermostats, air conditioning circuits, relays, valves, and other equipment that does not exceed the parameters of the transformer.
Product types: EI type isolation transformer, Class B insulation, Class 2 transformer.
Product specifications:
The primary winding (input) voltage of the device is 120V/208V/240V AC, operating at a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz. The secondary winding (output terminal) will provide a voltage of 24 volts, and its maximum apparent power is 40 volt amperes.
The maximum current provided by the transformer at full load is approximately 1.67 amperes (40VA/24V=1.67A).

I ordered this one as a back-up. It tested good and and the quality is on-par with other locally sourced that cost over twice as much.I recently had a power outage and it blew the transformer. I had to buy one locally and the furnace is now running, but to do so, I had to pay a lot more. In the 4 years since I've been living in our current location, due to power outages, I have already replaced the transformer 3 times. SO figuring it will happen again, I figured I'd have this one on-hand to save money. Just to drive this point home, locally, this transformer would be at least twice the price point found here on Amazon. The transformer is as described and pictured on Amazon., so it's 5 Stars from me.

This is your standard 24VAC, 40VA transformer. The primary coil is tapped in a few spots, so you can power it using 110, 208, or 240VAC power, and it delivers a nice, steady 28VAC output with no load. This should load down to around 24VAC without sagging much lower, I think. It’s hefty enough that I believe the 40VA rating is probably accurate. Overall, very satisfied. 5 stars.
