This was an upgrade for 2017 Chevy Cruze LT Sedan that didn't have fog lamps equipped (but had the breaker option pre-installed). All I did was pull out the old switch from inside the car (with a plastic trim puller tool so I didn't damage the finish), disconnect the harness in the and snap the new in it's place. No codes needed, the car accepted it right away and the dog light indicator on the dash board illuminated as further indication that it was working as intended. 5 stars.

The wiring or circuit board was garbage The second I tried it, some things worked other functions like the fog lamps don't work at all. Cheap, Junk.
