It’s a pain removing factory ones out, but installing these was a breeze. I highly recommend these, great for the price. Remember to grease after installation. 20 year old truck driving like new.

I recently replaced the lower ball joints on my 07 Silverado Classic, and these definitely work well so far BUT... be prepared to spend A LOT of time getting the old ones off. This was VERY I repeat VERY difficult and time consuming. I am not a mechanic, but I don’t typically take my truck in to have parts replaced, I do it myself. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done on any vehicle. Be prepared to drill out the center of the RIVETS. The old ball joints probably aren’t bolted in, that way you have to spend more money by taking it to a shop and they just replace the lower control arm. After you drill the rivets through and widen the hole with a larger bit you must chisel off the heads of the rivets. I had to do the bottoms on a few. After that, pound out the rivets with a sledge hammer and a punch tool. As for the part itself like I said it’s great, and a lot cheaper than the quoted $939 to have it done in a shop... but was it worth my time? No. No it wasn’t. YouTube is your friend if you are looking to do what I did, and be patient and drink lots of water. Good luck.

Original Review 12/12/19:I am willing to give this product a 5 star rating because the quality is good, the price was great, and obviously 2 day Amazon shipping is wonderful.I do, however, have a few issues with these lower ball joints, but they are my own personal grievances and not a reflection of quality or service.First, this job is a nightmare. I'm not even gonna mince words. Let me echo the sentiments of many other intermediate to advanced DIYer's who have been working on vehicles for years: this is up there with the most frustrating PITA job I've done. I had more fun changing the fuel pump on my 03 Suburban, which I did in the street, at night, in the cold, dropping a half full tank on my thumb. You get the picture. I would rather do that again than drill out the old rivets in the original lower control arm. As one reviewer stated, Did I get it done...yes, was it worth my time? NO! I would highly recommend just buying new lower control arms which already have the lower ball joint. It will cost you an extra 100 bucks but save you several hours of hassle. The 2nd issue I have is that these are AC Delco Advantage products which means AC Delco is stamping someone else's lower quality item, and that's why it's a discount price. I wasn't aware of that at time of purchase, so it's my fault for not doing proper research. I'm not going to unfairly ding the rating over it. From now on I will buy AC Delco Professional or OEM.Updated review 12/16/19:When I left my original review I was only halfway done with the job. I am still rating this product 5 stars but I wanted to add some information that will hopefully be helpful to anyone planning on doing this project themselves.I don't know exactly how many hours I have in this job but it was a huge undertaking. I had to alternate between my angle grinder with cutting wheel, sledgehammer with cold chisel and various drill bit sizes to bore out the rivet shafts. I found a few videos on YouTube that made it look really easy, so maybe I'm just a bone head, but other people on the forums also had a hard time. Many of them seem like they will remember this job for the rest of their lives. I know I will. I will never forget winning the battle of the rivets. Unfortunately the only net gain is bragging rights as time lost renders the money I saved negligible. The method that I found most effective is not demonstrated in any YouTube video that I could find, probably because it can cause damage to the control arm. After fighting with the rivets and having both heads shaved off and what seemed like 90% of the rivet shaft on both sides fully bored out, I was still having difficulty. I became impatient and took my cold chisel and gapped the control arm to crack the rivets from the side. That's the damage that you can see in the pictures.Thankfully my neighbor is a welder and we are going to save that control arm. I still stand by my original statement that next time around, if I have to do this job again, I will simply buy new lower control arms with the lower ball joint assembly already included. I mean honestly, how often do you need to do this job? My truck has 350,000 miles on it and I was replacing original parts!Product itself is great. The job itself...not so much...good luck!
