This worked great on 2003 Buick Rendezvous. The old button was a pain, you had to try and push all over it to find a spot that would open the rear hatch. Installed the new one and working great again. Have to remove trim on inside of rear hatch and then the nuts that hold the cover over the switch. Once that cover is off I used torx bit with 1/4" driver to get the 2 screws and came out no problem. Maybe 30 mins total time for the swap.

I have little mechanical ability. Had an old 2007 Torrent where the liftgate wouldn't open. Did some internet diagnosis while waiting for a repair shop appt a week and a half in the future. It pointed to this part. Watched a video and figured it was worth trying. This was much cheaper than a parts store and I had it in a day or 2. Went by the video and managed to get it installed. Best part was that it worked! Saved quite a bit of $$$ and got it fixed much faster. Part worke great.

Installed 05 Buick Rendezvous. Interior tailgate panel must be removed. Caution must be taken as not to damage panel. It's a bit tedious, take your time. Button plug on the lower interior panel must be removed to release tailgate to open. Flat screw driver is need to release tailgate after button plug removal. This will make it easier to remove tailgate panel. Part functions same as OEM.

Very easy to install. Hope it works longer than the garbage junk yard door latch button I installed a year ago.Step 1. Find the hole covered by circular cover on back door.Step 2. Find the loop you pull to open the door. Tip you PUSH the loop and the door latch will open.Step 3. Remove back doors plastic wall cover. There are two screws at the bottom of door.Step 4. Unscrew old door latch button. There are two screws above the licence plate.Step 5. Unplug old door latch button. Plug in new.Step 6. TEST NEW DOOR LATCH BUTTON before you Close the back door.Step 7. Have a nice day and if you read this, I hope it helped.

Ok. Not to easy to find a tool to replace the one that didn’t function. But so happy to be able to open the tailgait again. The replacement works like it should. Thanks for the reasonable price.
