These accumulators are used in A/C systems with an orifice tube metering device. The accumulator is located between the evaporator and the compressor, and serves to capture and store excess liquid refrigerant. This prevents liquid refrigerant from entering the compressor where it can damage the compressor. GM Genuine Parts are the true OE parts installed during the production of or validated by General Motors for GM vehicles. Some GM Genuine Parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco GM Original Equipment (OE).

Perfect fit on my 1992 K1500. Only difference was the sticker that shows the capacity for refrigerant and oil was slightly higher than the original sticker.

It wasted my time and cost me double to run around to fit the correct part at the local parts store. The fittings need to be the right size. I did not feel it was right to return it with pag 150 oil in it, which I had to rebuy also because this unit did not fit and I already charged it with oil and came up short on the 8 oz bottle I needed.

This is a great dryer, but beware that this dryer will NOT fit a R134a system. The description needs to be updated to reflect this.
