Great bundle to do the water pump and timing. The belt is a Gates but so is the factory install and Gates is a great manufacturer. I like the fact it had the instructions and technical service bulletins for the job. I wish more parts companies had kits like this for these kinds of jobs.

My package arrived 100 percent non damage. Good product ac Delco timing belt kit for Chevy aveo.but if you order this kit order the pump wrench, pain in the but if you don't. I will order again from Amazon.

while it was a great price for all I would only get the pulley with belt the water pump fin are made out of plastic compared to the originalthat has steel fins so just buy the one with out the water pump and buy a new gasket for it save $50, at the same time do your self the favor and buy the water pump tool it will make your job much easier.

I received my ACdelco, kit today and I plan on installing it tomorrow, this is not my first timing belt replacement but the first on the Aveo, initial quality impressions plastic vaned water pump, Canadian cast parts with Korean pulleys and a US made Gates timing belt. As I passed on paying $10 for a water pump gasket i was extremely happy to see that there was one included in this kit.The best part is getting seemingly good quality parts for half the autozone brand part price. I will have to get this kit again for the 180k service. I like that they included the TSB and theinstruction sheet. The write up on aveoforum.com has the torque specs in metric measurements and the instruction sheet I received has them in imperial specifications. The harmonic balancer is 70 ft/lbs and is a 17mm bolt, I will use a 25 inch breakerbar with a impact socket and starter method of breaking the harmonic balancer free without a impact gun.The other torque specs are 89 inch/lbs for the cover bolts the waterpump bolts and the power steering pump bolts. I highly recommend the 41mm waterpump tool and the cam lock. As you are doing this yourself they will make your life easier. Mine took a bit longer then the 2 hours suggested for a gm technician as I was replacing a couple sensors swapping the thermostat as I had the system drained and a full PM.

Parts all seem to fit fine but are all plastic. (oem water pump fins are metal, this one is not) I figure that since Chevy wants the Aveo timing belt inspected every 30k miles and replaced by every 60k I will be replacing all these parts next time anyways as cheap insurance before they fail. I know this is a cheap car but shame on Chevy for using plastic parts even from the factory for something so critical.Doing this on a friend's Aveo that didn't have a belt failure; the plastic idler pulley shattered causing all exhaust valves to be bent. Replacing those then installing this kit.

I bought this kit in September, I have traveled 10,000 km, the coolant pump is leaking and the idler pulley is making a lot of noise, and buy back the parts and install them again, I lost a lot of money on parts and labor, labor work is more expensive than the parts, I am very angry and confused by the quality of parts that Amazon sells, I'm from Mexico.
