This framed Acherontia atropos moth is a real preserved insect specimen that is a great addition to any natural history collection and makes for a unique gift!

Please note that the size of the specimen and frame is shown in centimeters via the ruler in the photo of this listing. The front of the frame is glass, the back is solid black, and it comes with a sawtooth hanger so it can be hung on a wall. There is a layer of cotton inside the frame to hold the specimen in place so it will not shift or break during transit. The specimen is not glued in permanently so the frame can be opened and the specimen removed if you wish to reframe, photograph, or use it for some other purpose. There are pins holding the lid to the frame in place. Take the pins out of the sides and carefully lift the lid off to remove the specimen.

About the frame

BicBugs' frames are standard riker mount frames, commonly used among the scientific and collecting communities. They feature a faux leather exterior, with a layer of cotton inside the frame to hold the specimen in place. Your insect or bug specimen can be hung on the wall in the riker frame as-is, or you can remove the specimen from the frame to use in your own projects.

Well designed small don't take up much room the black box make it jus so much brighter but was a lil squished a lil bit over all amazing gift for a goth kid/girlfriend/wife 10/10 recommend
