Internals are potted I think it's still functional despite the exterior damage. Haven't installed this yet but am confident it'll still meet my needs.

Worked good for approx 4 months then primary shorted. Where is my warranty? I did everything right, it is a mfg. defect. This item is too expensive to risk buying!

Problem that I have: The power company's transformer is messed up in my neighborhood and the neutral is floating... The result is 120v power that flickers between 116v to 129v ----> all the lights in my home are flashing dim-bright-dim and it drives me insane. So I bought this transformer and wired it into my 2 primary lighting circuits: PROBLEM SOLVED!! By making an independently derived neutral, the lights are a stable 121v.There are several acceptable ways to wire up the primary/secondary OCPD so consult with the national electric code and a licensed electrician to hook it up.Just an FYI, at 240v on the primary side, it runs really hot. The nameplate says a 115 deg C temp rise is acceptable and that's not a joke. It requires 4 inches of clearance for a reason...5 out of 5 stars.

Works perfect. Needed 120 volt for a receptacle. I was repairing wiring and found a GFCI receptacle tapped off a 240 volt feed using ground wire for neutral. wired transformer to 240 volt 2 wire and receptacle to transformer output 120- volt 2 wire. transformer had a grounding conductor and a grounding stud to bond to. Perfect 120 volt out secondary. Sorry I forgot exact input voltage for review, but I believe it was right at 240 volt. Might have been 238 between ungrounded conductors. Housing seemed quality and was resin filled with leads coming out. About the size of a larger landscape lighting transformer box.

In our well house we had 240v two hot and a ground but no neutral. So only half of a circuit at 120v. This gave us a 120v hot and a new neutral at 16.6 amps/2000 watts Plus It generates a little bit of heat so that serves an aditional benefit of helping to keep our well house warmer.
