The new Firefly PRO emergency strobe light boasts an all-new light output power management system that produces over 41 candela of light per strobe for up to 56 hours of use with standard alkaline batteries. Using wide light emission LEDs, it cuts through the foulest conditions creating a super-bright flash visible for over 3. 5 miles.

Probably the worst ACR product ever. ACR, I love you. But this. This is just a lousy, $2, knock off el cheapo LED flashlight. I refuse to call it a strobe because that implies that the strobe actually is visible and my keychain has a brighter set of LEDs than this junk. I would return but I’m keeping as a reminder of not buying crap like this again. Cheap therapy lesson.

I am a 30+ year search and rescue veteran. I hate to say this to you ACR, but I expected more from your company. I am very disappointed. Many years ago I had one of the original ACR strobes, and it was a real strobe that could be seen for miles. This device simply has LED lights.. It's so inferior.

For the price you'd think it would be of a better quality and design. Plastic seems brittle and lateral profile of the LEDs and the lens is small, so omnidirectional light view is limited. I don't understand the "extra features" on the case - are there accessories that are supposed to fit into the "grooves" and "channels"?

You're paying for expensive certifications and a cheap product. Plastic is average strength and strobe is relatively weak. The same mechanism that locks the door screws into plastic and uses a cable to carry power to the light. Tried to replace batteries at one year and the battery door release failed. It is just out of warranty and useless now.
