This is much nicer than the Misti. At half the price. The platform does a really great job. I do wish the hinges were metal afraid they might break. Don't care for the magnets too much. They are not very strong. They do not hold the paper in place very well. It does the corners great. The Misti does not do a clear stamp in the corners. A much better buy and stamp than afore mentioned.

I used to have a mini MISTI but it was sometimes a bit too small for my needs. So I gave it to the friend who gifted it to me. She had the full sized MISTI and found it too cumbersome (in size) to take to crops. I bought stamping platform called Stamp Easy by Vaessen, which was only $20 or $30, and it was quite a bit bigger. The Vaessen product worked, but not nearly as well as the MISTI. The main issue was the bumper/rim was on only one side of the stamping area and it was too shallow (in height) to hold my project securely, even after I bought some of those strong bar magnets that the MISTI had. I found the MISTI stamping platforms to be too expensive, and so I took a chance on Hampton Art’s Stamp Perfect tool, because it looked to be very similar to the MISTI in design. It turns out the design of the Stamp Perfect Tool is very very similar to the MISTI, but the price is way more reasonable. The mini MISTI has a stamping area of 4.75 x 6 inches. The Stamp Perfect has a stamping area of 5.5 x 7.25 inches, so it’s big enough for a 5x7 card. I think it’s exactly what I wanted in terms of size. It’s still pretty compact for transport. The outside dimensions are 7.25 x 9 inches. It has a bumper/rim on 3 of the 4 sides sides, which should work great. I don’t remember if the MISTI has a bumper on 3 or 4 of its sides. In my experience, you really need at least 2 bumpers to hold your projects securely in place. The full-size MISTI has a stamping area of 6.5 x 8.5, which is a great size, but the outside dimensions are 8 x 10 inches, which makes it somewhat bulky for transport. I think the Stamp Perfect looks compact enough to be easily transported – at roughly 7 x 9 inches. I have not yet used the Stamp Perfect tool, so I might write a follow-up after I have done so. Based on my previous experience with two other stamping platforms, I expect Stamp Perfect to function as well as the MISTI. If you don’t want to spend $50 or $70 on a stamping platform, you might just like this product. In my opinion, the Sweet Petunia stamping platforms work very well, but are overpriced.
