These are fantastic. I was using the original Berkey water filters for years -- just scrubbing the outside using a sponge scrubby when the filtration slowed down. But, as anyone knows who has a Berkey, they are ridiculously EXPENSIVE. These seem to do just as good a job, were easy to prime and install, and filter the water a lot faster than my OLD set of original Berkey filters.They seal well and appear to be of high quality. They are the correct size for the unit and fit perfectly. I've only filtered one batch, which you're supposed to dispose of and not drink as it's still clearing the original dust from manufacturing. Same with original Berkey filters. I plan to test this with a water TDS sensor and various contaminant tests to see how well it did. I'm on well water so I want to ensure my water is clean.

These filters have been in use for a couple of weeks filtering about 3 gallons a day. They are doing an excellent job of removing taste and odors from our drinking water. They were easy to prime and install, and the flow rate isn’t too fast or slow.The reason for only 3 stars is the lack of information, both on the sellers page, and included with the product.Descriptions for these, depending on which area of the Amazon page you are viewing, are that they are a single stage activated carbon filter, or silver membrane/carbon, or activated alumina/carbon. There isn’t any information included in the box as to what these are. And there isn’t any third party testing info or certifications.I think they are doing a good job, but how I would I know?

These filters are decent enough to use in my Berkey. I was concerned because they filtered much faster than my old ones, but they've slowed down now that I've refilled about 8 times. The taste is good, no leaks so far and easy to prime and install. Good value.

A lower cost replacement for the filters sold by the manufacturer and they do the same thing. I see no reason to ever use the others as these work just fine. Good product.

I picked up these water filter candles for my Berkey, and honestly, this whole setup is just fantastic for so many reasons. It's not just about filtering tap water for better taste – though it definitely does that! It was a lifesaver during those boil water advisories we had. Total peace of mind knowing I could just filter the water and not have to stress. Seriously, having these on hand is a game-changer.I've had some other black candles that ended up coming apart at one point and that was really bad. So, if needed, I'll update this review but so far they're fantastic and seem well built.These are definitely keepers and a thumbs up from me 👍

These work as well as the name brand in my opinion. We've had a Berkey system for about ten years and change the filters about every two years. The name brand are so expensive and these are a much cheaper alternative that is still a quality product. I had no issues getting them primed before initial use and they installed without any problem. Our water doesn't have any taste when using these filters and we have a very high iron content in our well so no taste in the water is a good thing! Thank you for a cost friendly option!

Easily primed and installed in to our counter top "berkey clone" filter. Filters just as well as other higher priced versions. Slow filtration rate so water does not pour thru them like some cheap copies. Turns our water in to clean tasting "better than bottled" water. We go through a gallon and a half of water a day and these filters literally save us hundreds of dollars over using bottled water. Great value for daily use - also perfect for those looking to stock up in case of emergencies or for camping (but for camping get a secondary set of ceramic filters to filter out the "bugs").
