These corrected my problem. I had a factory lifter fail on number 1 cylinder at 154,000 miles. I debated about whether or not to do both sides. I decided to just replace the 4 under the head that I had to remove and leave the other side alone. Most people will say do both sides while you're there.It's just personal preference to me. If I have another failure, I'll pull the intake and the other head and just buy this 4 pack again. I soaked these in oil while I cleaned my head and block. Put it back together and fired it up. Ran very smooth on startup and made no noise at all. Seem to be good quality replacement lifters. I put these in my 2006 GMC envoy Denali 5.3 vortec.
