Poor instructions. My goal was to be able to program this and press a button to turn on 12v in my car for a limited time. Took way too long for me (a software engineer) to puzzle out the instructions and buttons and display. Eventually got it to perform that function, but it doesn't trigger the program with a single button push, so it will not work for my project. It does have external triggering, and can do more than my intended use - YMMV. Be prepared to fool around with it for a while to figure it out.

On many golf carts the brake light switch is on the petal or linkage. When the parking brake is applied the brake light stays on. To keep from draining the battery I needed a switch to turn the power off to the brake lights after a 90 sec delay. Nothing sacred about 90 secs but just what I selected. I chose the P3.2 mode. In the P3.2 mode you do not use the trigger. The OP is set to 90. The top red wire is the +12V from the brake switch. The black wire is -12V or ground. and the bottom red wire is 12V to the brake lights or turn signal switch.. On some online videos I watched in the P3.2 mode the module, when power was applied the screen flashed twice and then turned on the power output. That would not have worked well for my application. Fortunately on my module the was only a slight delay around 1/10 sec between applying power and 12V to the output. When the power was applied the screen flashed P3.2 and power went to the output at the same time . I have not installed on a cart yet but the test was successful.

Easy/simple cheap, although you can get it cheaper on Ali Express if you want to wait 30 days.Using it to auto turn off a submersion heating element in my sprinter van so the water will heat for 2 hours while surfing, then auto shut off. Looked at temp shutoff and this timed shut off. Rinse Kits have a 30, 60, 90 min version of this design for a 12V car socket. That's what I am replicating. But since I have 16 gallons to warm up, 400ah of LiFePo battery, 400W solar, I have opted to use this auto shut off after 120 Minutes using a 200w immersion heating element. I'm using p3-2 setting. It ignores the trigger switch. When I turn my switch on, it begins countdown then shuts off automatically. My switch left on has no impact to the battery, water after the 2 hours. If I switch it off, everything is off. Yes I have to come back every two hours and toggle the switch if I want it hotter. I'm ok with that as I like safety over convenience. I am just getting the water to 80 or 90F. I don't need a 120F steaming shower. Good luck all!For instructions on how to program. Just Google "op cl lop parameters"

There are quite a few similar devices on Amazon, but unlike most of the others this one has an enclosure, which is great, and the enclosure even has mounting tabs. Nice! Unfortunately, there are two problems, one minor and one major. The minor problem is that the Amazon images for this device do not include a schematic, so you cannot see how it must be wired into your application. This unit will direct the power from the power supply to the device output contacts, + and - whatever volts the power supply provides. So, for instance, if you use a 12v power supply it will send 12v to your motor or lamp when the relay contacts close. In my situation I just wanted relay contacts that can open or close another circuit, and this device can't do that. I wish I knew that before purchasing.The major issue is that you might find it almost impossible to use this device because it is shipped without even a single page of documentation. I found a doc on Amazon from another vendor for a similar device and these units have quite a few modes and features that you must select via various key presses. It's unlikely anyone would be able to figure them out without documentation. Buyer beware!
