This punch is deceptively heavy duty looking and feeling, however performance is severely lacking, the punch mark is very small and shallow even with the tension maxed out, and the spring rarely resets, usually have to bang the punch against something very hard to get it to reset, I own 2 of these and both perform exactly the same.

Product did not perform as a snap center punch. The "snap" simply didn't happen - with either punch! After much agonizing and disassembly-reassembly only the light duty punch started working. For the price point, crazy that the consumer would have to work on the device to get it to even work!

I bought this to replace a cheap one that didn’t work consistently. This one costs about three times more but works no better. I’ve tried every adjustment of striker force, but to no avail. It strikes properly about one in six tries. I should have returned it but though I could adjust it. No.

The only thing that is wrong with these is the tips screw on and come loose quite easily, so you will need to put lock tight on them so you don't lose them .
