While the product description claims the holder is "machined to precise tolerances", the one I received is disappointingly anything but that...The HSS blade itself seems fine, however, the bed for the blade is very carelessly machined and crooked. When clamped in place, the blade is ~1° off horizonal (i.e. not parallel to the to the holder) and also ~1° off vertically (see images) making the holder entirely useless...Despite being packaged with a generous layer of machine oil to protect it from rust, the holder nonetheless also arrived with some rust on it. If the rest of the product were ok, I'd happily overlook this, but here it just adds insult to injury and tells me that both the manufacturer and the seller seem to ship out items without any form of quality control.Even at the (low) price of CA$14 I feel these basic parameters should be attainable in such a basic tool...

What I got was not what was shone. The picture shows a parting blade that’s parallel to tool shank. That’s what I wanted because I don’t have adjustable tool post. What I got was a blade at an angle that is useless to me. And don’t tell me that blade works better at an angle. Because I’ve cut a lot of stock off with parting blades. And the caliper measurement is wrong because depending where the blade is changes that.
