No dedicated on/off switch, the red dot is blurry & you need a screwdriver to adjust the settings...Parts of his are very nice and other parts not so much.The red dot has no dedicated on/off switch (-1 star)The red dot in the glass is blurry (a.k.a. not sharp!) (-1 Star)You have to use the screw driver to adjust the up and down (elevation and windage) settings.Not to mention the screw drive and an Allen key is needed as some parts need a crew driver and others an Allen wrench, it's bad enough you need these at all but the fact you need more than one tool to get this set up the way you want and need is a serious design flaw in my opinion. In some ways it is nice but I would not buy this one again, especially at it's current (7-9-2023 A.D.) price. It does work and the light is bright but I have seen so many other similar models that are better and more importantly "easier."Good day & God Bless...Randall M. RueffK9RMR

I am not sure what's going on here but I have a hard time seeing the dots on this ADE optic. I own about 8 of these things from ADE and a whole lot more budget level from multiple brands, and I don't have trouble seeing the dot on any of them. Not sure if it's defective or just my eyes and this dot and glass combo. Otherwise, it's a nicely optioned optic with shake awake, topside battery, and dot sight marks for co-witness. A normal box full of accessories and picatinny adapter plate. I haven't mounted it up yet to test it out because of the visual problems.

Functions Perfectly – Open design allows almost instant site picture acquisition- "unlimited" eye reliefUnfortunately, or fortunately, we are living in the midst of a rapid evolution of types of “optics ready” pistol slides with a plethora of proprietary mounting systems. You must be careful that you match your “FOOTPRINT TYPE”. The website description is very thorough and carefully explains the necessary type of mounting system. Quoting verbatim, “Comes with Red dot, tool, removeable[sic] picatinny plate with two screws, cover, lens cloth and instruction manual. Fits pistol optic plate/cut that is compatible with Doctor/Vortex Venom/Burris Fastfire footprint. Does NOT fit optic plate/cut for RMR, Shield RMS type footprints.”As for me, I will be using the attached Picatinny mounting clamp to attach to the Picatinny Rail attached to my firearm.The manufacturer has high Quality Control standards because the parts were flawless. The windage and elevation adjustments operate smoothly and stay put. The mechanical and optical engineers were really thinking and they designed a great sight. I really like the very useful automatic off and “motion activated” feature. I also choose this “Red Dot” for the double “Red Dot” of a 2 MOA size centered Red Dot within a 32 MOA sized outer circle.I have a severe eye vision problem called “an astigmatism”. My Cornea is distorted and that distortion distorts point images and makes the point image appear as a smear. I did not understand this phenomenon when I got my first tube enclosed Red Dot scope. To me the Red Dot appeared as an hourglass instead of the perfectly round Red Dot it should have been. So, I sent the “defective” Red Dot Scope back and got a replacement. Only to see the same hourglass shape, instead of the perfectly round Red Dot, on the replacement scope. I showed the Red Dot Scope to a more knowledgeable friend of mine and he told me that he saw a perfectly round Red Dot and he explained my eyesight problem and off I went to the eye doctor. It turns out that special contacts can somewhat correct my eye vision problem.I showed this OPEN RED Dot sight to my friend, who has good vision, and he said that the image is perfectly sharp. So, if you think that this OPEN RED Dot scope has a lower quality image, then you need to have your eyes examined and your vision corrected as much as possible. There is a special contact lens that really fixes your astigmatism so that you can see better without as much distortion.
