I have a tall stand-alone broom cupboard at my lake home and while it has never fallen over on anyone it is tippy especially if you open both doors at once. Finding these I thought to secure the cabinet to the wall. My first attempt was with two- one on each upper corner. Either I didn't have the adhesive tab securely adhered to the wall or some other random moment of fate, but one side came free, breaking lose the finish on the wall in some areas...so it stuck- kind of. I replaced it but also added two more - one on each side about 3/4 of the way up on each side for a total of four- two on top and one on each side. That cabinet is going no where. I like that you can adjust the depth to make it work for base molding or a wall that is out of kilter. Simple to use just be sure to press firmly and then wait a bit before attaching any "pull" to allow the glue to fully adhere. I think these could be used in a multitude of places now that I understand how to make them work.

These adhesives have absolutely ZERO sticking power. To any surface. I tried different surfaces just to see if maybe the area I was trying to stick this was inappropriate and if it was user error. But even using only surfaces recommend by the product (and making sure each area was clean and dry!) These have NO sticking power at all. They will absolutely not prevent accidents of any kind. These are dangerous and should be removed from Amazon

Has held up great and were easy to install. I got these to help prevent tipping risk in my son's room. They are not an eyesore and are easy to temporarily take off if needed to move Funiture for cleaning. If I need more in the future, I won't hesitate to get these again.

Do not be misled by the listing. Although it says that these are suitable for most walls, read further and you will see that they are not. “Not suitable for painted plaster wall, drywall, wallpaper or uneven surface.” Most homes have painted drywall or wallpaper, and sooner or later the adhesive pulls the paint or paper right off the wall, and your item is no longer secure.I suppose you could rig these up with wall anchors, but they are not included. My set did not come with instructions, so I had to come back to the listing to see how these are supposed to be used. I would never trust a heavy piece of furniture with self-stick adhesive. It’s risky.

I have experience with these to hold up small baskets and shelves, so I've used this type of adhesion system before. If you haven't read the instructions carefully, you can't just slap these on the wall and call it a day. My husband uses a plastic scrapper to make sure all the bubbles get worked out, otherwise these will slowly start to peel away. You also have to make sure whatever you're adhering them to, wall or furniture, is super clean and dry. I dry fit these in place, to be sure the hook part reached the holder, then I used painters tape to hold them in place, moved the dressers and bookcases away from the wall so I could get in there to get all of the bubbles out. Then I took care of the parts that attached to the furniture. It takes a bit of work, but having moved two years after using these types of hooks before, I know these should come off cleanly, and I won't be patching holes in the wall. Plus, I can move the furniture and not create more holes, so this is worth the extra effort to me.
