These baluster mounting screws by Langdoly are pretty easy to work with. Simply get the spacing marked how you would like with your balusters on each stair tread and mark where you would like it to be seated on the tread. They mounting screws get drilled into the wood, the cap installed and they the 1/2' hollow baluster set in place over top of them. They feel like they are good quality. They fit a 1/2" baluster well.
