I go these for when I take the top off of my Jeep Wrangler. I use a trail cover when it rains, but the water always pooled above the front seats. Granted, I have a good waterproof cover (Bestop), but the water pooling always made me uneasy. Now, I use this for the same reason most would use it on a boat. Simply place it under the cover at the sagging/ lower points, extend it to raise the area higher than the surrounding area, and it completely prevents any water pooling!! I could see this working very well with even a “Cheap” cover, as it deletes the need for a very strong cover.

The functionality is good however the bottom stands were broken on arrival. Tried making them work but seems they are total loss. I will be buying a different style without this type of stand on the bottom.

These boat cover support poles are some of the best I have ever used. Ok now that's out of the way. If you have owned a boat for any length of time you have probably tried every possible scenario to keep your cover tight to prevent water pooling in various places. I have broken more of those plastic support poles, Fiberglass bows etc, etc. Once you get water to not pool and water pools in another. These poles are all aluminum construction. The adjusters are a twist to lock type, not a screw type. Turn about an eight of a turn to unlock, adjust you pole length and turn it back to lock. One of the poles was a little sticky the first time I tried to unlock them. but quickly loosened up after a few clicks. They Extend out way more than I need to put them in the well floor in the middle of my '87 Ranger. The folding tripod legs on the bottom can be a little fiddly to get open, but are sturdy once open. PRO TIP: Grab the sleeve and push down on it while pulling out the legs one at a time.In the box they include both the mushroom cap that is in all boat support pole systems. Bu they also include 2 rubber end caps with a male snaps on them. If you add the female snap inside the cover the poles will snap in and not be able to fall over. I will be doing this the first chance I get.I thin I am going to pick up another set of these and just use 4 poles instead of using my seats on each end. With the snaps this should be a good system.

These are hot garbage. Neither of the first segments on the poles lock, so you're left praying to the boat gods that your cover doesn’t collapse in a light breeze. The tripod base? Feels like cracking a crab claw trying to get it open. Gave it two stars only because they did arrive, they do technically extend, and a couple of the telescoping parts had the decency to lock. But overall, support pole? More like disappointment stick.

I can’t say enough good things about these boat cover support poles with their innovative tripod base! They’ve truly elevated my boating experience with their outstanding quality and thoughtful design. The adjustable poles are incredibly sturdy, crafted from durable materials that feel built to last season after season. I love that they come with two different toppers, giving me flexibility to customize the setup based on my boat cover’s needs. This versatility ensures a perfect fit every time, making setup quick and hassle-free.One of the standout features is their rock-solid stability. Whether I’m trailering my boat at highway speeds or dealing with strong winds that make the cover flap vigorously, these poles stay firmly in place without ever tipping over. Unlike my previous poles that would collapse at the slightest challenge, these hold strong, giving me peace of mind that my cover is secure no matter the conditions. This reliability is a huge win for keeping my boat protected.Another major benefit is how effectively they prevent water from pooling on the cover. By keeping the cover elevated and taut, they ensure rainwater slides right off, eliminating any risk of water seeping into the boat. This has kept my boat’s interior dry and free from damage, even during heavy downpours. It’s such a relief to know my boat is safeguarded without constant worry about drainage issues.Best of all, these poles are designed with convenience in mind. When retracted, they become remarkably compact, taking up minimal space. I can easily tuck them away just about anywhere on my boat, whether in a storage compartment or a small corner. Their lightweight yet robust construction makes them a breeze to handle, adding to their practicality for boaters who value efficiency. From their superior stability to their compact storage and water-shedding performance, these support poles have exceeded every expectation. They’re an essential addition for anyone looking to protect their boat with ease and confidence. Highly recommend to all boat owners!
