Good quality, nice and expandable. Stiff enough to keep your books upright. I'm using it to store all my yet unused journals onto a small shelf that didn't have and ends to it.However I am not sure why they show this expandable bookshelf backwards, as it doesn't make any sense to use it that way. All the hinges/grommets (not sure the name) seem well put together and it doesn't feel cheap. It's not super heavy, or lightweight.For me it serves my purpose and if you wanted to paint it another colour is should be easy enough.

I got this for the kiddos since both I and my hubby have these type of book stands and love them. This one doesn't have the pen holder thing on the side like ours do but it was the cheapest option and they don't require a pen holder. It is excellent quality, sturdy, easy to use, and holds loads of books!

This holds my books very well. The only change I made was to put the expandable part to the back. Still holds the books securely and I can see the titles. Doesn't move when I remove a book.

This book stand can be extended to 19 inches, which is a good length to put a lot of books in the middle.The metal used is sturdy and durable, and the paint on the surface is rust-proof and scratch-proof.It is well made, and the edges are smooth and do not hurt your hands.It is sturdy and not easy to tip over, and the middle connecting part makes the whole more solid.Overall, a good book stand that can make the desk or bookcase more tidy and organized. I would rate it 4-4.5 stars.

That may be "meets expectations" but on a short shelf, holding varying size cook books, that actually has become Exceed Expectations. It's nice that I know if I remove one book, or shift something on the shelf everything else doesn't need to be reorganized so that the whole lot comes crashing down. (like the other book ends I purchased) Functional over Pretty wins!
