This plastic rod holder is a piece of crap. I put my rod in it and it intantly folded over where the tube meets the stake. It may work with a 6' rod and a light reel but for surf fisging,,, forget about it!

I purchased two rod holders to use while surf fishing, they were terrible. You couldn't just hand drive into sand so l used rubber mallet to assist and first tap the plastic tabs holding halves together started snapping off. I had to use gorilla tape on both holders to hold together to get me by. Adjustments were useless for surf fishing since you had to drive holders down so far to stop them from folding over. I was completely dissatisfied with them and old fashion while holders put these to shame.

no assembly instructions. if bolt goes thru whole unit , you can fit the rod thru the holder.and if you bolt thru the inside (to avoid the above) then the unit become weak. I bought 5 of these. I am gonna test 2 this weekend. if they fail, I will return all

These rod holders worked great on our vacation there light weight , adjustable and easy to pack in the car . Made of high strength plastic .

I haven’t tried these out yet but these spikes do feel sturdy enough to handle the tug of ocean beach waves in SF. Bought these so I can have an easier time loading everything in my wagon.. they are bigger and wider than I was expecting. I do like the adjustability of these spikes and I can’t wait to use them!

I bought these for my husband and kids for a recent trip to the OBX and they were perfect!!! Sorry no daylight photo. My husband said he wished he had these for the last 30+ years instead of the pvc tube style.
