Your cart is empty.AEM Air Intake Systems are designed to produce massive horsepower and torque gains as well as better engine sound when used as a replacement for the factory airbox and air filter. AEM intake systems are designed, tuned, and dyno-tested to fit specific cars and trucks. These air intakes usually include an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration, and performance while allowing easy oil-free cleaning. Most AEM intake systems use mandrel-bent aluminum intake tubes, powder coated heat shields, and high quality hardware designed to reduce restriction and reduce intake temperature. The design and components of each intake system vary so consult the installation instructions for more information on the contents of each part number. AEM manufactures a variety of intake kit styles including short ram intakes, cold air intakes, dual-chamber intakes, Brute Force intakes for trucks and SUV's, and Brute Force HD intakes for diesel applications.

Definitely an increase in power but, like most intakes, there are downsides. Absolutely CAN'T go through a car wash now as it sucks water up immediately. That may seem like, duh, but thought I'd mention it cuz I thought I'd be able to get away with it since it's so high up but no. No issues with the ECU even without a tune. You should get a tune but it will run fine while you're getting a tuner or tune done and you will still see power gains despite what the know it alls say on forums. I have an AEM dry filter over the filter during winter and run it without that in summer. Seems to help during really slushy times. Over all a good product but thought mention the stuff above so you'd be informed. Fits perfectly on my 06 SI and it was the first mod I did. Have now added a Berks high flow cat and yonaka cat back which all seem to compliment each other well. Have the ktuner and friend is working on custom tune for me as we speak. These parts are VERY economical and work together well so I mentioned them here to help you get a nice but very reasonable set up. Check them all out!

Installed the intake in less than an hour. First drive with the AEM short ram air intake it is a totally different ride. Car pulls hard and strong and the sound of the vacuum is amazing. Car feels like it has a new life and feels like a new car. I will compare the rode to being in a base model WRX. Highly recommend this air intake worth the money.

Awesome Intake overall.just want to say the car was completely stock when i installed it. 2.0L N/A 2006 honda civic si 2 door. 6speed manual.Looks: 5 - its beautiful i love the way it stands out in the engine bay. heck i bet the the chrome one would have looked nice but as you can see.. i got enough silver and black in there. needed the accent color.Performance: 5. holy.. i did not expect it to perform the way it does in my civic. On the first start up eh can't even hear it. let the car warm up and now you can hear the vacuum kick in. took the car down the street and i listend to it nice i can hear the small chirp that makes me love these things. a turbo sound in disguise. hopped on the freeway and damn! like a muscle car sound ignited in my engine. yes its a honda but this one has that nascar sound from the engnie. not that rice burner 95 civic fart can to it. The intake noticeably sucking in the air. if i could spell the proper sound effects for this i would! its just VRAOOOOM! ...VRAOOOOOM!! ...VAROOOM!!! up shift after up shit. from a stock box to this. its a huge difference. highly recommended. for this car.Quality: 5 well just look at it. sexy.Ease of use: 4 taking out the stock airbox and tubes. was a chore. just be ready for that. if it wasn't' for taking out the old one, putting on the new one would probly takes 30mins if you just wanna slap in it there. i mean i didn't even look at the directions it was simple enough. ( although you should ) I've installed so many aftermarket intakes. it took me, well all day.. i cleaned everything up around it and took my sweet time. and pre fit and made sure i didn't damage or dirty nothing..

Definitely not better than the cold air, but it's a good product for when it rains. Still gives good performance no matter what and passes smog with it!

Installing was easy but the directions that came with it were for a cold air and not short. Once installed, a dramatic difference in horsepower and sound. Not sure about gas mileage but it seems to be a little better. Overall this product is excellent!
