Manufactured out of Hot-Stamped Boron Steel, these skid plates safeguard your vehicle’s critical components, ensuring unmatched protection when traversing even the most demanding off-road terrain. These are the same OEM-validated AEV skid plates that are found on the Colorado ZR2 Bison and Canyon AT4X AEV Edition. E-coated for maximum corrosion resistance.

Manufactured out of Hot-Stamped Boron Steel construction and measuring 2.5mm thick, the AEV Rear Differential Skid Plate is built to withstand punishing impacts. It helps protects your rear differential housing and pinion from damage.

  • Oh, it’s really a thing! Hot Stamped Boron Steel is an ultra-high strength, press hardened steel.

  • Yes, however that skid plate is only compatible with ZR2 Bison and AT4X AEV Front Bumper, therefore it is only available as a service part through the dealership.

  • Aluminum is lightweight and easy to shape, but it is very soft and not nearly as strong as steel. Hot-Stamped Boron Steel is much stronger than aluminum and far more resistant to gouging.

  • We use a multi-stage, automotive-grade E-coating process on all our skid plates.
