I intend to use this to show art on so I wanted something that was sturdy so the art would not fall, but I also needed something that was nice looking. This easel in the walnut is perfect for my needs. The wood is really nice looking and once put together the easel is sturdy so the art will not fall. There is a small lip on the board that the art rests on. I do wish it were a bit more substantial to help ensure the art doesn't fall off. The weight limit is 44 lbs. Some big pieces of art with larger frames can get pretty heavy. This easel does feel like it will be stable for those big pieces though.

If you're just using this to display something, it's fine. If you're using as a working easel, it's flimsy. It was easy enough to assemble, all the pieces were there, it comes with a screwdriver (no allen wrenches, it uses phillips head bolts). the adjustment for the angle of the back leg and the height of the tray work fine but aren't high quality. They both require two hands to adjust. It looks nice (I got the black one). If you're looking for something to actually paint/draw on, spend a little more money and get something with 4 legs or an H-frame.

This easel is beautiful and wonderfully crafted. The main pieces of the frame are connected with a tongue-and-groove join and reinforced with screws. Each piece is exquisitely stained with a walnut look. The easel came with all the tools needed to assemble it, including the screwdriver. The instructions, however, were a bit unclear. Only pictures were provided, and bolt B looks very similar to bolt C. Bolt C has a longer section of smooth shaft than B. After a few minor mishaps, I was able to assemble the easel by myself, and it was worth the effort. This easel is strong, sturdy, and functional. Open, the easel stands a little over 55 inches high and 32 inches deep. It is widest at the shelf, which is 22 inches across. That adjustable shelf can hold canvases of many different sizes. I have a whiteboard on mine. Additionally, although the easel is not light, it can be moved without much struggle. With its sturdy build and well-crafted design, this easel offers reliable support for painting, drawing, or displaying a menu board.

I'm new to painting and was looking for a good easel to have in my office, and this was exactly what I was hoping for! It is lightweight and easy to move, it is decently sized to where it is big enough for an adult to use (and also a variety of different sized canvases) AND also fits in my closet for storage, too! Assembling it was fairly straightforward, and after screwing it together it feels sturdy. Definitely recommend, especially if you want something well made for a affordable price.

This easel is incredibly high quality and gorgeous. My husband put it together in about 10 minutes or less and we were both astounded that it actually came with a nice screwdriver to complete the task! So nice that he put it with his tools instead of the trash when finished. It folds flat, but still takes up a good amount of space. My husband mentioned that he would prefer it all fold in together instead of just one leg fold in to join the other 2. But really it is such great quality and craftsmanship, I don't mind if it takes up space. Oddly, my first thought when seeing how elegant this looked was to use it as a picture holder at a funeral. I just don't want the wood to get paint on it because it's so pretty! It is also cool that the back leg adjusts for a bit of stability and height difference and then the rest for the canvas adjusts with a large range to help accommodate most heights and sizes. Overall, this is a super nice easel, nice enough to probably only justify the cost if purchased for an intermediate level artist rather than beginner. But it wouldn't be a mistake to get for a budding artist, just a bit higher priced.

Ok I have bought "easels" before and they turned out to be presentation easels not painting easels. But this arrived in very good time, packaged well and omg my heart just started beating faster. The wood is so lux and gorgeous ( i went for black) I love it. I made a lot of errors so Ill explain ( so you dont make my mistakes lol) I had all the parts and no damage anywhere at all. I separated all the pieces (they give you a really nice screwdriver, again says so much) I did use a rubber mallet I have. Hammering in the very long pieces is tough so if you dont have a rubber mallet, rubber band a towel around the hammer head so you dont damage the wood. I took a photo of these two small slat pieces, now the next photo has a small hole shown close to the floor. THAT was the piece I put in basically upside down. That piece should be at the top with the hole. BUT, I would have to take apart the entire thing to do that so in case you do what I did, its still very workable upside down lol and I showed photos. I was using a card table which was ok but this, this beautiful lux piece takes up so much less room and looks amazing. I am just stunned at the quality. major thumbs up and worth every penny

I am honestly so happy with it! The easel came well packaged with all the parts and tools (screw driver) included. The assembly was surprisingly easy! It took me about 30 minutes to assemble, by myself. The instructions were clear, and all the holes lined up perfectly. The wood is solid and beautifully finished, which gives it a really professional look. It feels super sturdy when I was working on it. It does not wobble, nor shift. I love how adjustable it is! I can raise or lower the canvas holder depending on whether I want to sit or stand, and it holds everything in place very well! The back leg is adjustable, so you can change the angle or more comfort. This easel gives me a peace of mind knowing my artwork won't move around while I'm painting. This easel definitely gives you a lot of value for the price. It's perfect for artists who want something sturdy and versatile without spending a fortune. Whether you are a beginner or someone who paints regularly, I recommend this easel to you!

this is a really nice display easel. I show art at art shows and needed a sturdy stand to display my art. This is large enough to put even the largest canvas.
