Idea is great. Hockey players look real, however should not be battery operated. Everything has to come apart to change batteries. Also the lamp should light.

We made a hill out of plaster in the center of our train oval and placed the rink on top of it. It looks great and no issues at all with the functioning as of yet. It is charming.

I used this in a park like setting to add to my Winter Village makes a nice addition to a playful seen. The skaters have a magnetic connection with the pond very easy to put on. Priced well!
