It is metal not brass or copper. And took 3 months to receive it. It does fit a 1973 jeep. After we use it we will let you know how it is.

Although the configuration was correct the tubes were not in the correct position to fit through the holes in the heater box and firewall. Of course bending to the correct position caused the solder to leak. Fortunately i pressure tested the joint before installing as i knew the cheap soldered joint would likely fail. After 2 generous applications of JB Weld i installed. I might mention, i cut my heater box to install as this was going in an old jeep and i didnt care. if i had removed the heater box to install trying to position the tubes while installing the box would have been extremely difficult. Fortunately after install my JB weld fix worked fine and i made covers to replace the sections of heater box i removed to install this core. Bottom line is, if you arent extremely experienced i would opt for a more expensive / higher quality unit.

Picture shows a copper heater core but part shipped was all aluminum.

This thing is a piece of crap. First it is aluminum, not brass/copper as pictured or as original. You can get one just like it for under $25 here on amazon. It is half the thickness of the original. The fins are so small you would be lucky to get any air through it.Get Spectra 94563
