I needed this adaptor at work. I was given a dock for my workstation that only had displayport ports. Unfortunately one of the monitors I was given only had HDMI. This adaptor quickly solved the problem.I was expecting the monitor resolution or picture quality to be affected, but it does not appear to be. This adaptor works well for work functions.

Why did the industry decide to have two different configurations for HDMI devices? Of course, we all have our theories, but the problem makes HDMI connections less than trouble-free. This connector solves the problem of cable mismatch and worked perfectly for me.

Works as advertised I'm happy anyways my display has the HDMI 2.1 DVI so I got it for the DVI so I can use the other two HDMI from my other stuff
