I put this in a 2019 efi klx. The whole project went fairly smooth and I'm happy with how it turned out. It does seem to run a bit lean now. I wouldnt say it made a huge change to the performance, other than to say it feels like it has more torque and hits 125-130kmph with less strain.

To install is about as difficult as an advanced Lego set. Take your time and watch mrduhfactor videos on YouTube. Also there is a step by step guide on how to install the kustom kart 331cc out there. I followed the guide and watched YouTube videos. It took 3 nights after I put the kids to bed.The bike is completely different. I wanted to sell it but now love it. Can cruise at 110kmph and max out just below 130. Never leave 2-3 gear in the trails with the perfect amount of power. If you're thinking about it, just do it already!!

I did have to relieve some casting material at lower chain tensioner for the screw in cap.Doing the break in routine today with 10 miles of medium riding with a cool down period of ten minutes.Did this 4 times and you can tell the difference in engine performance each time. Will now do 20 mile runs and have some more cool downs till I get couple hundred miles on it . Then I can resume normal riding

Decent piston and rings. Cylinder is junk. Threads for the cam chain tensioner on the cylinder aren’t correct.

Bearing in mind I got this for less than $200.Drops straight in. Gaskets are fine, one of the holes doesn't quite line up but I have had no overheating problems even in very hot weather in the woods. Yes you have to slightly modify the cam bolt opening, if you can't do that then you shouldn't be inside an engine it's that simple of a job.The instructions on the piston ring orientation is non existent. - do your research on line... This is probably why some folks get a name brand piston but so far it's not burning any oil at all.I was replacing the valves anyway so I thought "Why not?" The bike has been thrashed mercilessly since the upgrade and I think if anything catastrophic was going to happen it would have done it by now.I am happy with the mod, It's much livelier in the low/mid range with I am guessing a 20% increase in power. If you are carbed change main jet to 130 and pilot to 35. Runs great that way, it's the standard KLX300 jet sizes. Good luck!

It's so good. Totally changed my bike. All the parts looked good and I have had no problems. I did not use the gasket set supplied, I ordered a set from kawasaki. I constantly bump it off the rev limiter and it loves it. Cat walks are no problem now, just twist the throttle. Getting the jetting right is a pain. It wants to run rich in the mid range, I'm running a dj needle as low as it will go. Have fun!Edit: 10,000km on it now and it runs like a dream!

Do not buy! Cylinder surface was irregular and would not seal. Kept leaking from same spot after 3 gaskets sets! After spending $100 on gaskets, I took to a local machine shop for inspection,, way off. Tong Tong is trying to get out of it saying it’s my fault for ordering the wrong kit! I have a 2009 KLX250. They keep saying it’s not for this model by referring to the Cylinder kit description, which says it will fit. The casting is bad, and you do have to modify the lower cam chain tension screw. Trying to get my money back. Very deceptive and misleading when communicating.

Excellent upgrade for any KLX250. Increased power, increased torque and drops in just like a factory part. It couldn't be any easier.

The kit bolted on to my 2009 klx250s with only one very minor modification. The stock lower timing chain guide tenshioner plug needs to be shortened about 2mm in order to fully tighten. A lot of people complain about the head gasket not fitting exactly to the water jackets which is true however it does not cause any issues with cooling. If you cant handle that then spend more money and get an OE Kawasaki gasket. Any how my kit worked great. 5 Stars because the price is right.
