This is water tempo sensor fits in the place of the factory Honda part but it does not perform like the OEM part. The Honda OEM part number is 37870-MBG-003. This part is listed on multiple Honda models including the RVT1000. This part uses the OEM part number in it`s description but the part sends your temp gauge way over the value it should be thereby causing your motorcycle`s ECM to think the engine is over heating. I started my bike up and within 20 seconds the temp gauge registered 230 degrees. When it hit 256 degrees it began flashing and I shut my bike down. There is no way my motorcycle would have been hot after 20 seconds of running. Amazon has some great products but this isn`t one of them. Spend the money and buy OEM Honda parts when it comes to sensors like this.
