I purchased these punch pliers mainly for watch band holes. I loved the pictured feature of the scale along the side showing each chosen size. Instead, here is what I received. The first one was dirty, covered in smudged fingerprints and heavily used. It arrived in a beat up plastic bag. And had no scale along the top as pictured. Its replacement did look new but also omitted the necessary scale. I’m not going to guess! Then, I noticed the replacement has a very sharp exposed burr in the middle of its polished side. Major safety hazard! The company was pretty darned indifferent. Stay far away.

This is in my don’t buy list if anyone asks. It will make a hole but this thing is very wonky. These pliers are extremely off center. The punch almost misses the plate entirely. I cannot really see any bends so the whole thing must be misaligned. Next time, I’m just buying a regular punch.

As far as I can tell after punching two holes, it is a good tool. Better suited for occasional use. If you plan on using it daily on thick, heavy leather you might want something a little more substantial. Seems to be a light-duty tool.

I needed to make extra holes in the leather strap that attaches my dog's muzzle to her head. The strap is roughly a centimeter wide and 3 mm deep. I needed something that could punch a hole to match the diameter of the ones placed by the manufacturer. I owned nothing that could do that hence this purchase. The product arrived timely and in new condition as advertised. I added the holes to the strap with ease in less than 10 minutes. Safety first: now my dog cannot toss her muzzle off. Everyone wins.

This a great design. I bought it at first just to try out a tool I hadn’t seen before. I bought it to put holes in leather and it cuts the leather well. However, on the dial there is plenty of more space for additional holes of varying sizes. It could be designed better, but works great is it is. The spike parts was bent a bit when it arrived, but it didn’t make much of a difference in its ability to cut holes in leather. If I didn’t already have one and got a chance to use one, I’d definitely buy one for myself. Now that I’ve seen and held one and noticed specific minor design flaws, I’ll be making my own. To use, not to sell.
