My kids absolutely loved this set! I got this for my two oldest daughters (aged 9 and 11), and they were able to make gorgeous roses, butterflies, and bumble bees. We’ve tried our hand working with clays that you bake to harden which was fun but I like these air dry ones just as much, even though they require some time. The colors are vibrant and our art pieces remained malleable up until we sat them to dry out! The texture was pleasant and we felt it was easy to work with. My kids and I had a ton of fun trying out all the colors and observing what each of us were making in between creating our own sculptures.

I got this for her for a birthday gift, but we had a sleep over planned with nothing planned to do so I broke these out and we had fun for a couple hours. She had fun just playing with the clay and making shapes to put on the wall, roll out and experiment, and of course telling me which one of the included clay figures to make. I can only really review from my experience playing with a 3 year old so I'll do my best. It is easy to work with and cut with the included tools. There are plenty of colors to choose from and it even gives you mixing ideas to make more colors. She loved making marbled colors, but with working it in it will make a solid mixed color. As far as letting it dry, I tried to talk her into it, but she is a destructive 3 year old who takes pleasure in carnage and chaos. I can say that after a few hours it was not quite dry thoroughly, but close enough that I can say that it does dry with some structure, and it is a very light clay. Almost feels kind of like sponge when dry. This really was a life saver when I had nothing else planned.

I was surprised how nice this lightweight clay is and that it doesn't stick to your hands. The clay is soft and easy to mold. This is such a fun set with many colors, fun tools, and a cute little idea book with steps on how to make many fun clay sculptures. I like that this comes with many small little bags to put the clay in that you don't use to help prevent it from drying. Each clay bag needs to be ripped opened and scissors might help to open these easier.

Let me start by saying we have tried a lot of different brands of air dry clay because my kids just love playing with it and making fun little characters.Things we liked:-Great variety of colors. You get a lot of fun shades.-Individually wrapped. Makes it easy to use with less clay being waisted.-Has basic tools. It's nice when clay comes with at least a few tools to shape it, and the tree that comes in this pack are basic but good.-It does dry well, solid but not hard if that makes sense.Thing we did NOT like:-It is sticky! Evan though it says "not sticky" my kids hated how sticky it was. It kept getting all over, couldn't get off their fingers, and it made it even hard for them to get out of the bags. Not cool, not kid friendly.-Messy, I don't know if this is due to the stickiness but my kids made much more of a mess with this one, like little crumbs and stuff we don't normally have.-The zip bags to store leftover clay are way too small. They are hard to use because they are so little.I don't think we'll get this kind again. It's so much better when the clay is soft but not sticky and kids can make their creating without so much frustration. It does work and does what it's supposed to but it wasn't for us.
