- Honda uses 2 stage filter, the first stage is called pre-filter, it is a foam case, the second stage is a metal frame with screen. We are just selling the pre-filter only, our filter needs to be used with the metal frame from the original air filter. when you measure you would measure the clamp point on the metal frame and not the out put flange going to the engine.

Does not have a lip to retain the worm gear clamp like OEM. Clamp is really too short, you can barely start the end in the clamp

At first, I was a little worried it would not fit since it looks a bit shorter (and the way people were saying in other reviews) than the original. It fit over top of the insert nicely and was a good fit. I used the original clamp since it was narrower than the new one and seemed to fit on the filter better. It will definitely do the job and the price was right compared to the OEM one. I used it on a 2007 Honda 400
