These appear better in some ways than the oem, in that they have metal mesh and thicker removeable, washable foam over the pleated paper. They fit nicely, but are maybe 1/16" shorter, so they don't fit as tightly lengthwise as oem, so I slipped a small piece of cardboard between the filter end and filter compartment. Probably not necessary, but doesn't hurt. They do fit snuggly into the round portion on the engine, which makes a good seal, but I smeared some silicone grease around the inside of the round rubber filter hole to seal even better. Hope these last as long as oem, and they look like they should.

I changed the oil and filters on my neighbor's mower and this was wonderful. I could buy two filters that also come with pre-filters for the cost of a single filter. The quality is still in the product. I only have one knock, the need to explain to put some oil on the prefilter before installing as other companies tell you. No instructions...but if you know, well worth that one tiny oversite.
