I have to be honest with you. I didn't order this brush because I brew beer. I was looking for a stiff bristle brush to clean a particular port inside my Dyson vacuum cleaner. I had fashioned a hook contraption from a piece of coat hanger wire, and my invention worked ok, but was awkward and time consuming to use. This bristle brush is an answer to my needs! It is just the right size and has the stiffness needed to clean the port I have been cleaning with an "invention" for several years now. The moral of the story is that you don't need to brew beer to need this brush. It is general purpose in my book and if you use your imagination you will probably find a good use for it somewhere in your home.

Airlocks get grungy at times from energetic fermentation. As a winemaker, I throw dirty airlocks into a bucket filled with an oxygen-based wine equipment cleaner. The clinging wine residue and grape proteins react quickly to such a wash. A tightly rolled-up cleanser-soaked paper towel generally finishes the cleaning task. Why I never thought of looking for a tool dedicated to this cleaning task baffles me.When I saw Fermentaholics’ brush for cleaning 3-piece airlocks, I knew I needed one. It makes cleaning airlocks easier, and ordering it introduced me to Fermentaholics’ brand. I’m excited about that. Clicking on the Fermentaholics Store link introduced me to several other homemade fermented product possibilities that I’d like to try to extend my winemaking fermentation skill set.

I have been making wine for a few years now and even though I don't drink, several members of my family do as well and friends. One of the important things that needs to be done is to clean the equipment and this product helps with that. This is a small handled brush that works well as the seller described it, for Airlock and Bungs. It works and it is nice to have several on hand. The brush is quality made.

It's a stiff brush that works as intended. Cleans out some medicinal glass devices without issues. Looking for a nice cleaning brush that's bigger than a small straw brush, this is what you're looking for.

This is a review for: Airlock Brush – Clean Your 3 Piece Airlock and Bungs In-Between Batches of Beer, Wine, Mead, Cider, and More – Remove All Debris and Stains – Perfect Fit for 3Piece Airlock and Drilled Rubber StoppersI know this is made to cleanse airlocks after fermentation gunks it up, but I brought it home to clean the fountain piece in my cats water dispenser. I change the filter every month and scrub all the components, but I can never really clean well inside the fountain. This sturdy little scrub brush is 1000 times better than using pipe cleaners. If it can clean out gross cat water, I'm certain it can clean anything. Dishwasher safe too.

Nicely constructed bottle brush with comfortable stainless steel handle. Good for cleaning rubber stoppers and such.
