I previously held my phone or propped it up against my water bottle to watch a movie. It's so nice hanging it from the seat back in front of me or propping it on the table tray. I just keep it flat in my book, so it doesn't take up much space before use.

Worked perfectly on the upright tray to watch my phone on the plane, can also be used as a table stand at your destination or on the planes open tray table. Easily goes flat and can fold again, this is a surprisingly wonderful purchase. I love the value and it is very functional. My phone did not move or slip around and it seems very sturdy, I expect this to last for years.

This worked pretty well on a spirit flight with my 7” tablet. I was able to position the tablet at a comfortable height for watching a movie. Tried my wife’s 10” tablet on it and found it was too small to hold it stably.

I want to use this with my phone in the upright position (for a specific ap that won't rotate.) There isn't a way to reasonably channel my charging cord if I need to plug in during use. I did cut a long channel down the middle of it for my cord and now it works, but the metal in the middle is exposed, so i have to wrap it in tape. I wish they would have thought of the cord in the first place.

What did I ever do without this versatile holder? I take the URTRY Airplane Travel Essentials Phone Holder everywhere. I use it in the car, on my desk, the kitchen table, recliner, bed, shopping cart, kitchen sink, etc., etc., etc. It is very stable and strong. It flattens when not in use. I carry it in my laptop bag. It also fits in my pocket and purse. When I need it, I can bend it so that it props up my phone or tablet. I can also hook it onto the back of the car seat so that my Grandson can watch his shows while riding. It also hooks onto my glovebox when I am the passenger and want to watch a show. I could go on and on. I find a new place to use it every day. It is very sturdy. It will make a great gift for students or coworkers. Great product!

This holder seems to be well made. It weighs almost 4 ounces and looks like a flat piece of rubber. There are groves in the areas where you would fold it to hold a phone. I found it easiest to do over the edge of a countertop. I found that the holder could hold my 10 inc tablet on a flat surface pretty easily. I then tried this holder over a kitchen drawer to simulate it's use over a tray on the back of a seat on an airplane. With some adjustment I could get it to hold my tablet in portrait or landscape orientation. It definitely felt like it would fall over with any bumps or turbulence. It would definitely be more stable with smaller devices. After use it went back to mostly flat pretty easily.
