Plugged this in the day, I moved into my new house. It has been going strong as there is a lot of humidity in the basement. I empty it twice a day and it is going strong so far so good now been seven months.

I live in Florida and it's rainy season. I'm used to humidity, but I didn't realize how bad it was in my bedroom. I first realized I needed a dehumidifier when the clothes in my dresser started to smell musty even though I use desiccant (not damp-rid) in all the drawers. I was horrified. It's a giant red flag for mold. I had to sanitize the drawers and wash the (already clean) clothes. There are a lot of textiles in a bedroom that retain moisture, like bedding and clothes and if you have carpeting it's even worse. (I don't). Also, we're in there for 8 or so hours every night, breathing away...it just plain gets humid in there. I had to up my game if I was going to get the air dry and reduce the possibility of mold (again, horrifying). This was a reasonably priced dehumidifier compared to others of similar size. It has the settings I need. You can use their presets or set your own humidity level. A lot of the smaller units don't have that option. I wasn't sure how much water it would pull out since I haven't had a dehumidifier in that room before...frighteningly, I empty it twice a day because I have the humidity set at 40%. That's almost a gallon of water!! I want it to run all the time and keep the air very dry. Most people probably don't want or need it to be that dry. It's a terrific little size, and the wheels are wonderful so I can roll it all over the place when I clean the floor. At night it's very quiet. I don't mind emptying it out, but the container drawer doesn't slide in directly. You have to tip it and then slide it in. I put a few drops of bleach in the container to keep it...well, from getting moldy. I have a washcloth stored nearby and woosh it around inside the cabinet to make sure there's no moisture sitting under the water container. You don't want it getting moldy (4th mold reference) inside there! I put the washcloth over the lights at night because I can't stand all these LED lights when I'm trying to sleep (not over the exhaust fan though). I wish there was a setting to turn those off but it's a small complaint. Also, the intake is on the back and the exhaust is on the top. The exhaust air is warm and delightfully, dry. Just know that since the intake is on the back you might want to flip it around depending on your needs. It doesn't do much good if the intake is up against the wall. My bedroom is under 200 ft², so I can't offer an opinion if you're looking for a dehumidifier for a bigger area. Lastly, I wasn't expecting this even though there are lots of pictures, but it looks really nice.

Update 6/13/21: I now have two of these. I started with one to see how well it worked for a few weeks and it is amazing, very quiet, keeps the humidity low in an oversized space and the customer service has been awesome. My apartment is 1,069 sq ft with high ceilings. This unit is rated for around 700 sq ft but has kept my apt close to 49-51% humidity with my AC set at 75F. I have one unit in my main room (kitchen / living room combined) and the second unit in my laundry closet). The laundry closet is up against an outside wall and was very humid (60, 70, 80% and some of the dirty kitchen towels were getting damp and musty). The situation in the laundry closet totally freaked me out due to my severe mold allergies and that closed has no ventilation or cooling. So I have the second unit in there with a circulation fan, a humidity meter and the dehumidifier drains continuously into a 5 gallon paint bucket.Normally I'd have to turn my humidity down to 68-69F to handle the very high humidity we have where I live (Houston has super high humidity in the summer, just had three weeks of rain and 80-90% humidity most of the time). I am deathly allergic to mold and am at high risk for any type of water intrusion. This unit has enabled me to keep the humidity low and increase the AC setpoint to save on my electric bill (the electric bill doubles when I don't use a dehumidifier).Note: the instructions are not great by any means. So I sent this complaint to the company and the customer service person, Lily replied within a day. She asked me to send more info and forwarded that on to her technical team. I also sent a few specific questions, which she answered the following day in an email. So here is a bit more info that is missing from the instructions:Q1: What is the humidity range for the Standard Mode and for the Continuous (CO) operation.A1: The application humidity range of this product is 40%-80% when the machine works under standard mode and CO condition setting, the range is 40%-80%. In standard Mode you use the HUM button to set the humidity level in 5% increments from 40-80%. The CO humidity option is also part of the HUM selections.Q2: How do I know when to use the defrost function, does it operate automatically?A2: The defrost function turns on automatically when the temperature is lower than a certain degree. If the sensor detects that the machine needs to be defrosted, the function would start automatically and the indicator will be on.I am one happy customer in a perfectly temperature controlled home with low humidity!!Initial Review - Roughly mid-late May, 2021This product is very quiet and works really well. I will run this for a while and will probably buy a second unit. It's light and easily movable plus the continuous drainage hose is a big bonus!Update after 10 days of use: ok, so I officially LOVE this unit! My electric bill doubled without this dehumidifier because I had to set the AC much lower (69F) once we got into the humid season here in Houston. I live in a 1069 sq ft apartment with high ceilings (so lots of cubic feet of air) and after using this for 10 days the humidity level dropped to 50-53% on the Raining mode at an AC setpoint of 75F early on and has remained there even with lots of rain outside. It's running like a champ and I'm SO glad I was able to increase the AC setpoint. I will say that the instructions definitely need work particularly how to attach the continuous draining hose to the actual water outlet nozzle inside the water drawer. Make sure to slide the hose onto the outlet nozzle inside the water drawer or the hose won't work at all.I've used another brand of dehumidifier that was rated as the top quiet unit back in 2018. It could not keep up with the humidity because it was undersized for 1069 sq ft and it was much noisier. So, if you want a very quiet dehumidifier that pulls a good amount of water out of the air this is the one to go with.As we move into even more heat and humidity in Houston I will probably purchase a second unit. It's very light, easy to move around, and easy to place on a counter next to a sink or on a table with a 5 gallon bucket underneath for continuous drainage.
