It’s great for what it is. Pretty much plug and play. Connected to Bluetooth with no issues. Nice display and sounds good.

I’ve been using the Aiyima A80 for about a week now, and I’m really happy with it.I was looking for an all-in-one amp with good sound quality and enough input options to connect to multiple sources, and this one checked all the boxes. The sound is clean and detailed, and it drives my Kanto Yu 5.25” speakers with no problem.I’m not an audiophile, but I can definitely hear the difference compared to the small amp I was using before. The built-in DAC is also a nice bonus—it makes music from my computer sound noticeably better.Bluetooth works well, and I like that it supports higher-quality codecs. The display is a nice touch, although it’s a bit small from across the room. Still, it looks good and doesn’t feel cheap, but the sensitivity is low and requires ample volume to really visualize the effects.Overall, this is a great amp for the price. If you want something compact that still delivers good sound and has a lot of input options, I’d recommend giving it a try.

The amp itself has an excellent sound to it overall and plenty of power. The compact size makes it very convenient, and the volume knob is sturdy. The screen is nice but the VU meters are a joke. There's barely any movement unless it's turned WAY up. It would be nice if the meter scale were adjustable or dynamic. The case also tends to get much warmer than comparable amps at a similar power range. This amp even stays pretty warm when idle which seems like an inefficient design. The biggest problem is that when using the DAC connected to a PC via USB there's a delay for audio to start. In researching, it appears the DAC goes to sleep and takes .5-1s to engage audio which is very noticable. Other amps with XMOS DSP chips have a setting in the software to mitigate this problem. The software and drivers for this unit are extremely buggy too.For me I will be returning this and going with a different amplifier that works correctly with PC. At this price point there are other options that would be a better choice.

Okay let see My detailed reviews...First Impressions – Looks and Feels Solid!Right when I unboxed the Aiyima A80, I could tell it was a step up from their older stuff. The metal body feels sturdy, not cheap, and the knobs (volume, bass, treble) turn nice and smooth, no wobbly junk here. The LCD screen is a game-changer! It actually shows what's going on—input, volume, even the Bluetooth codec. No more guessing if you're on the right setting. The lcd could be better with better colorsWell go áreas to the sound testI test this amp with my Sony and pioneer speakers and let me told you those Came Alive!I hooked this little beast up to two of my favorite budget bookshelf speakers:1. Sony SSCS5 (bright and detailed)2. Pioneer BS22-LR (warm and smooth)With the Sony SSCS5:- The highs were crisp but not harsh—the treble knob helped tone down the Sony's sometimes sharp sound.- Vocals sounded super clear—like Norah Jones was right in the room.- Bass was tight and punchy, but don't expect earthquake-level lows without a sub. With the Pioneer BS22-LR:- These speakers love power, and the A80's 80W (at 4Ω) made them sing.- Jazz and acoustic tracks (think Diana Krall) sounded full and rich.- The bass boost added just enough oomph without making things muddy.Bluetooth? Way better than I expected! Streaming from Spotify/Tidal sounded almost as good as wired. No lag for movies either. This is a good difference between this to the a07 model that sound great too..---A80 vs. A07 Max – What's the Upgrade?I've got the Aiyima A07 Max too (great little amp), but the A80 is definitely better:- LCD screen (A07 has nada—just a tiny light)- Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 (A07 needs a dongle or a Bluetooth received with dac...- Optical input (perfect for hooking up to a TV)- Bass & treble knobs (A07 is just volume)- Cleaner sound (less hiss at high volumes)The A07 Max is simpler (just RCA in, no frills), but the A80 is like the upgraded version, more features without losing sound quality.Well, my Final Thoughts – Worth Buying? If you want a small, powerful, do-it-all amp that makes budget speakers like the Sony SSCS5 and Pioneer BS22LR sound way better than they should, the Aiyima A80 is a killer deal. It's not "high-end audiophile" level, but for the price? It's insane.Who's it for?- People who want Bluetooth + wired options- TV/movie lovers who need optical input- Anyone upgrading from a basic amp (like the A07) who wants more controlWho should skip it?- If you only need RCA inputs, the A07 Max is cheaper.- If you need crazy power (for huge speakers), look at bigger amps.Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) – Best budget amp I've used this year! 🔥(Pro tip: Add a small subwoofer if you want more bass. The A80 handles 2.1 setups like a champ!)

The Aiyima A80 is the newest entry in Aiyima’s lineup of budget-friendly but surprisingly powerful class D amps, and it’s loaded with features. At its core, it’s running the TPA3255 chip with PFFB. It also comes with a solid built-in DAC, but what really stands out to me is the compact display with customizable VU meters, super handy and a nice touch. Worked well with my DT 990 PRO 250 OHM, and with 2 Wavecrest HVL-1 in a stereo config.

Just what it says and is described as. Was powerful enough to power my speakers and also worked as a DAC for my audio devices. Be mindful, it does get hot, make sure not to keep it near anything where that might become an issue.

Wonderful sounding amp. Smooth from top to bottom. Not meant for parties but can play loud with no problems as long as you keep the volume within reason. The 3.5mm auxiliary output IS volume variable so this is perfect for powered subs. That's what I'm using the output for, and it works perfectly fine. Built in DAC sounds excellent as well. All in all, this amp sounds just as big and nice as the big solid state amp that it's replacing. It's worth every penny.

I've been exploring various integrated amplifiers to enhance my audio setup, and the Aiyima A80 caught my attention with its impressive specifications and affordable price point. I’ve previously owned Aiyima products; the A07 Max and A07 Amplifiers, which are superb sounding, especially at their price point.Build and DesignThe A80 boasts a compact and sturdy build, measuring 155 x 123 x 41mm and weighing approximately 850g. Its front panel features a vibrant color display with customizable VU meters, adding a touch of retro charm to its modern design. The volume knob feels solid and responsive, doubling as a menu navigation tool. While the display is clear, it might be a bit small for larger rooms.Connectivity and FeaturesOne of the standout aspects of the A80 is its versatile connectivity options. It includes USB-C, optical, coaxial, RCA, along with Bluetooth 5.1 support featuring AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX-LL, and aptX-HD codecs. The inclusion of a 12V trigger input allows seamless integration with other components, and the AUX output can connect to an active subwoofer or a second amplifier. Performance and Sound QualityEquipped with the TPA3255D2 amplifier chip and ESS9038Q2M DAC, the A80 delivers clean and powerful sound. It supports high-resolution audio up to PCM 32bit/384kHz and DSD256. The PFFB (Post Filter Feedback) circuitry enhances performance by reducing distortion and improving frequency response. In my listening tests, I would say it is equal to, if not better than than the A07 Max.The A80 provided tight and controlled bass, smooth midrange, and crisp treble. It handled various genres with ease. I have a 2.1 system (see attached picture), which isn’t easy to drive with full range open baffle mids and highs, and a sealed bass box, but it handled all these drivers with ease. The soundstage was immersive, with precise imaging that brought vocals and instruments to life. Bass was tight and controlled.Additional ObservationsThe A80 includes tone controls for bass and treble adjustments, allowing for personalized sound tuning. It also features replaceable op-amp chips, providing opportunities for further customization. I would always recommend op-rolling for tweaking the sound - I’ve tried OPA1612 and MUSES and they all add to the enjoyment. You can find op-amps on Aliexpress for a few pounds from reputable dealers, so it is always worth a look. While the unit can get warm during extended use, it's not excessively hot. The absence of an HDMI input is a minor drawback, but something I personally need.My list of wants for future Aiyima products is Spotify Connect and Wifi, for mobile operation. A high and loss pass filter would also be game-changing.ConclusionThe Aiyima A80 stands out as a versatile and high-performing integrated amplifier that offers exceptional value for its price. Its combination of robust build quality, extensive connectivity, and impressive sound performance makes it a compelling choice for both audiophiles and casual listeners looking to elevate their audio experience.I have yet to find an Aiyima product at its price point that isn't a suitable value, and the A80 is currently the pick of the crop for an integrated amp with a superb DAC and one of the latest Bluetooth chipsets. Highly recommended.
