I loved this bit for my young horse, however the joints on the shanks got locked up after just one year of use. I used WD40 to get it moving again, but it locked up again after a week. Great bit, but not lasting good quality.

For the price this is a pretty bit. I came coted in a sticky oil so I had to soak it in dawn dish wash soap. My horse responses very well as I had hoped she would. The craftsmanship if fair and about what I expected from a bit at this price point. All in all I like it for what I was needing.

I have used this Argentine bit for about three years now and my horse seems to like it, so I like it. The copper bands and roller keep his mouth moist, the finish has stayed black all these years. The cheeks cannot pinch at the mouth-corners because of how it is put together. Overall I am very satisfied.
