They actually didn't seem to help much being twisted. They are too light to really stay in place. I didn't find them much better than normal stirrups. Decent price. I put my old heavy aluminum straight stirrups on and they are better for staying straight. Weight seems more important and not having a sharp inner edge like some plywood stirrups have.
