It is difficult to learn how to program the device. Keep the instructions handy. Make several copies. But once you do learn, the the radio is excellent. Large numerals. Good sound.

The alarm, which is what I purchased this clock for, does not have the capability of adjusting the volume. You can adjust the radio's volume when you're listening to it, but not for the alarm which is factory set at 12. Every morning, after thinking I had lowered the volume to 9, I'd be jolted outta bed by a radio set by the hard of hearing!!! Not pleasant at all.

The damned #$^&#$^% battery door was totally unintuitive and had no diagrams showing how to open it. The instruction manual just said, "Remove the battery door." How helpful. I wasted 20 minutes struggling to pry the slotted door free. It required superhuman strength and accomplished nothing. Apparently they wanted to keep the method a secret from the customer. Using a penny in the slot was futile and only damaged the plastic. Just go back to existing designs nobody had a problem with. Don't "innovate" with a door that must be pressed on one unlabeled edge so its hidden lock tabs underneath can slide out from under the clock body. Make it humane.The radio sounds good. The clock's numbers are large enough to be read from a good distance without eyeglasses. The clock is 6.4 cm thick and wedge shaped, unlike the misleading and deceptive product photo. Sanding the base is required to correct its wobble. The damned *(#@%&% power cord stiffly sticks straight out from the lower right corner, and is always visible. It adds another 6 cm to the thickness.All in all more a symptom of decline in industrial design, factory proficiency, and human thought than a fine timepiece. Probably not built to last.

My dad wanted a new alarm clock with a large, easy to read display with the radio feature. This machine is somewhat clunky, but still fairly easy to set up. The sound quality for the radio isn't the best, but it suits his needs for occasional music/news/weather on the FM band. The display is amber - far more orange than red (it appeared more red in the listing, which isn't a big deal to him) - and it's large, so nice and easy for him to see without being so bright it lights up the whole bedroom at night. Shipping was fast, packaging was adequate, and so far the thing works well enough. We're basically pleased with the purchase.

I wanted a cheap clock radio and I got one. The clock is bright and easy to set. The radio however is not so good. The controls to set the presets is difficult and not intuitive. The buttons are hard to read. The audio is tinny.

This clock radio is exceptionally difficult to operate. Simple steps such as setting the time, or setting the radio pre-set buttons are difficult. The only reason I haven't returned it is that the shipping cost would approach the price of the item.
