I had the higher booties but wanted a pair for the tropics and these were perfect. Size was as expected, not too big or too small. They have the right amount of stretch so your toes aren't scrunched up.

I am a 7.5 to 8 women’s shoe size and after reading the reviews, I bought a size 9. It was way too big so order the size 8. Still too big. Ended up with a size 7, which is working great. Not a problem since they were free returns & shipping.This is my second pair of Akona (my last pair lasted me 20 years), and I love them. Light& easy to pack. I use them for diving in warm waters, but I love that I can also use them for other water sports, as the bottom is thick enough to walk on gravel.

These are great booties for warm water diving. So much more comfortable and easier to put on and take off than my old 5mm zipper boot.While the sole is not as sturdy as my other boot, this sole is reinforced and the fit was just right. I wear a size 12 shoe and the size 12 boot fits great...not too snug

I ordered these because I was doing SCUBA training and had an upcoming trip where I needed my own gear. Dive shops are so expensive so of course I checked Amazon. These booties were well priced and I'm so glad I got them. They're really comfortable, easy to get on and off, fit well with the fins I got, and were just an overall great purchase. I used them diving with no issues (though if you do colder dives you may want some that cover more ankle) and snorkeling. I suspect they'd even be good pool shoes if you're into that sort of thing.

I have strap on ScubaPro Twin Jet fins, and these are perfect for them. Snug but not too tight a fit, excellent quality, and rugged bottom for various beach entry and exit terrain... They do NOT have a zipper on the side, just slide your foot in, so I hope that the elasticity wears well over time, but so far so good...

I use these for canoeing. They are the only booties I've found that are flexible enough to allow me to keep the tops of my feet flat on the bottom of the hull (while kneeling). That might not be your cup of tea. The extra flex (due to a rather thin sole) makes them not great for rock hopping.
