I followed the directions precisely and used parchment paper and butter on the inside of the mold. My chicken pot pies are simply gorgeous and the presentation is dramatic. Torte rustica recipes are incredibly appealing in this mold as the entire pie browns to a crisp golden hue. The mould is placed on a baking sheet when baking. It is essential to allow the meat pies to cool before disassembling the mold. I truly wish I could find the smaller Alan Silverwood pie molds for individual servings.

Perfect for my pies. Might leak, so I use it on a tray. But they look adorable. Then, it us so easy to take it apart in pieces and give it a good wash. Highly recommended if you like to bake and entertain....great piece for the table.

It's been way, way too hot this summer to light the oven to actually bake something in this (!) , but it's made very well, and I like how it's constructed so that it will be easy to remove the baked finished "pie" when I eventually make it.

I like it a lot. I baked a game pie and it was a success. It is easy to put everything in and it was easy to take it out. Moreover, there is a recipe, the instructions and the pictures that are helpful

This item works very well. It's very easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning. My pies came out with a beautiful brown crust, so I am very pleased with this purchase and my purchase the next size up to be able to make larger game pies in the future.
