Elephant handbag hook review. After breaking multiple handbag hooks that fold into a compact circle, I purchased this solid piece. Size, balance and weight quality is good and looks like it could qualify as a buy-it-for-life purchase. Great gift idea.

It’s very well designed and made by Frédéric Gooris, the Belgian industrial designer. Very handy to use when dining out at restaurants, just like many European restaurants provided to their customers to prevent pickpocketing.

This is a really cute way to hold my purse. It can hold at least 5 lbs with no problems. I like it to keep my purse off the floor, in sight (instead of slung on the back of the chair), and away from my feet.

Stylish little purse hanger. Definitely WELL made, seamless. Holds my heavy purse and does not seem to leave a mark on the wooden table pictured above. Very pleased with this hanger.

Of course, it is Alessi, it is beautiful and may make a nice gift (for those who appreciate Alessi brand). However, its use is limited to flat and thin surface. If the table or bar stand is a bit thicker or not totally horizontal, this gadget will slip and will not hold your purse.

I love the fact that there is an elephant hanger is wonderful. This will jeep my purses off the floor. It is very solid and heavy.

... die dazu noch edel aussieht.Hatte bisher immer die üblichen Taschenhaken aus Guss (meist zusammenklappbar), die spätestens nach dem 3. Gebrauch einfach gebrochen sind. Auch wenn diese Haken meist für unter 5 Euro zu haben sind, ist das sehr ärgerlich und geht ins Geld. Wie die meisten Frauen besitze ich größtenteils sehr große Taschen, die dann selbstverständlich auch dementsprechend bestückt werden :)Nachdem ich die Rezension einer Dame (Linda K. = s.Bewertungen weiter unten) gelesen hatte, die scheinbar das gleiche Problem hatte, versuchte ich es mal mit dieser etwas teureren Version aus Edelstahl von Alessi - und bin begeistert !!!Einziger Nachteil, den ich aber gerne in Kauf nehme: das Teil lässt sich nicht zusammenklappen.

I carry a very, VERY heavy bag (if I could get away with a wallet, I would do so in a minute); so regular purse hooks typically last until the first time I use it when the parts separate. This purse hook was a total blessing. At first I was not sure this thing would balance well but it does a spectacular job. The hook is beautifully designed and pristine in design; no snags, lumps or waves. I LOVE the fact that the designer was so creative as to place the elephant on a ball paying homage to the intelligence and beauty of this majestic animal. I highly recommend!
